Anxiety

When it’s all too much

Uncontrollable worry, nervousness, irritability, fatigue, mind racing, feeling out of control, and a hard time concentrating. Sound familiar? 19.1% of the population deal with an anxiety disorder at any given time. That’s over 40 million adults!

Though anxiety is a normal, natural emotion, when it reaches a level where it interfers with your daily life, that is where therapy can help. Anxiety disorders are highly treatable, yet only about 35% of those with the disorders receive treatment.

There is a way, through therapy, to not feel the symptoms that you are having in the same way anymore. By addressing the underlining thoughts and feelings that fuel anxiety, change can happen.

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”

— Fred Rogers
