Hi and Welcome!

Over the years of practicing, I have discovered a real joy in working with clients with issues that hinder their daily lives and walking alongside them as they find hope and we foster healing. The pain that comes from things like PTSD and secondary trauma, anxiety, and chronic pain & illness can be so heavy. I find pride in my role of sitting with my clients and honoring their struggle. I also have a special passion for working with those in the helping profession—other therapists, medical professionals, teachers, clergy, etc. This is because it is often those who help others that don't have anywhere to turn when they are struggling both personally and professionally. I love being that place where “helpers” can go for help.

My clients have described me as honest, real, straightforward, and passionate—and I love that! I work to be authentic as I can with my clients as I believe that is a key part of this process.

I have been lucky enough to be trained in EMDR for 12+ years and it’s a wonderful tool in my tool belt. I also utilize interventions like DBT skills, mindfulness & meditation, somatic interventions, sand tray therapy, among others to aid my clients on their healing journey.

I am licensed in the state of TN as LPC-MHSP-S (TN #4175), have been in the field for over 12 years. I enjoy working with therapists outside of the therapy space: as an approved clinical supervisor, having consultations on clinical and professional issues, and teaching continuing education trainings.

Outside of my work as a as a therapists, I enjoy flexing my creative muscles. From yarn work, to watercolors, to digital art, it’s a great way coping skill and just tap into different parts of myself. You can see some of this work (like coloring books, journals, and other therapeutic resources) here!
